CB's AutoTech Collision is celebrating its 18th anniversary in
2006.
Chris Barker founded CB's AutoTech
in 1988 after a disappointing experience having his own vehicle
repaired. An automobile enthusiast, Chris sought to develop a
business consistent with his own service and quality demands.
In 1999 CB’s AutoTech relocated
to a modern retail and service facility at 2122 Government Street.
CB’s AutoTech was among the first auto body shops in Victoria
to receive ICBC c.a.r. shop accreditation. According to CB's AutoTech,
this means drivers who have had an automobile accident may not
have to go to ICBC first to have an estimate. Drivers need only
to phone ICBC and the insurer will re-direct the driver to an
express shop such as CB’s AutoTech.
CB’s AutoTech is a factory
authorized refinisher for such big-ticket, prestigious manufacturers
as Mercedes-Benz, BMW, Audi and Volkswagen.
At CB’s AutoTech Government
Street facility, new frame equipment and a down draft paint booth
with bake cycle was installed. According to CB’s AutoTech,
this allows repair specialists to wash a vehicle within an hour
of painting, making the repair process faster while maintaining
a high quality, harder, more cured paint finish. Additionally,
all the toxic materials used on CB’s AutoTech premises are
recycled by proper recycling plants. This extends all the way
to the filtering of overspray which is controlled through the
use of high volume low pressure spray guns which have decreased
overspray emissions by 90 percent over the last 10 years.
CB’s AutoTech believes in
their motto “We meet the nicest people…by
accident”. |
